These are the terms for hiring KB02, 220 Green Lanes, Palmers Green, London N13 5UD. By booking you agree to them, to our refund policy and to our privacy notice. Before the day, the person who booked signs a short waiver on their party page that covers the same points.

Booking and paying

A party more than 30 days away can be held free for 3 days. Paying the £100 deposit secures it; the hold is released automatically if the deposit is not paid in time.
A party 22 to 30 days away can’t be held free: it is booked with the £100 deposit. A party 21 days away or less is paid in full to book.
The balance is due 21 days before the party. You can pay it all at once or in parts from your party page.
The venue is yours exclusively for the time on your confirmation email.

Times

You can come in 15 minutes before your start time. Your time cannot be extended on the day; extra time for setting up or clearing up must be booked and paid for in advance.
Please start clearing away 15 minutes before the end, birthday cake included, so the next group can come in on time, and leave by your finish time.

Numbers

Up to 50 children and 35 adults for a party. Schools and groups: up to 100 children, with at least one responsible adult for every 6 children aged 8 and under, one for every 8 children aged 9 and over, and never fewer than two. More is sometimes possible by arrangement, at extra cost.

Who looks after what

You run the party. You are responsible for supervising your group and their behaviour at all times, including on the play equipment, and for setting up, serving food and clearing up.
KB02 staff look after the building and the play equipment and keep everyone safe. They do not supervise children, set up, serve food, run games or clear up, and they are not there to help with the party.
Someone who knows your guests should stay by the entrance until everyone has arrived. Late arrivals are only let in once you confirm they are with you.
Everyone stays inside the building during the party.

Food and drink

Bring your own food or have it delivered. There is a microwave but no other cooking, and no cooking equipment may be brought in. The bar is run by DJW Events, a separate business: they sell hot drinks, slushies, beer, wine and spirits at their own prices, and KB02 is not involved. Please do not bring your own alcohol. No food, drink or gum on the play equipment.

Please do not bring

Alcohol, glass, kettles, urns or anything that heats water, party poppers, piñatas, fireworks or sparkler candles (they set off the smoke alarms), cooking equipment, or chewing gum.

On the play equipment

Socks on, long hair tied back, arms and legs covered. No studded belts.
Balls stay in the ball pools and are not thrown. No climbing on the outside of the frame.
Soft play is active, physical play and bumps can happen. Please follow staff instructions and the rules on the day.
We try to have all the equipment open (except the drop slide, the steep slide in the play frame), but some of it may be closed on the day and we cannot be held responsible for that.

Behaviour and damage

Fighting, abuse or dangerous behaviour is not tolerated. Staff may stop the party, clear the play frame and close the building if they need to, with no refund. You are responsible for any damage beyond normal wear and tear.

Viewings

Now and then another family may pop in for a quick 10-minute look round during a party: two people at most, with a member of staff, kept discreet. You can switch this off for your party from your party page.

If we have to postpone

KB02 may postpone a booking in extreme weather or other circumstances beyond our control. We will offer another date first, and a full refund if none suits.
